Falco is a major manufacturer of toroida AC current transformers for application in Electronic Watt-Hours meters in single and poly-phase systems. These transformers comply with amperage rating class 20/200 and 320 or ANSI 0.2%, 0.5% accuracy requirements. The use of high performance amorphous /nickel core material allows them to exhibit good linearity in amplitude and low phase angle error with proper burden resistors. The transformers can be inserted into a plastic housing and potted with epoxy, or can be wrapped with recognized tape to provide isolation. APPLICATION As technology has advanced and costs have declined, the popularity of the electronic watt-hour meter has increased.
