Below is a block diagram of a Solar Micro Inverter where electromagnetic components are mainly PCB mounted. Electromagnetic components use ferrite cores to support switching frequencies of 100–200kHz.
Falco designs and produces various components for this application such as: High Frequency Transformers in the DC/AC Inverter Block to convert the DC voltage to AC voltage (typical switching frequency is 100–200kHz); Differential Mode Filters present in the DC/DC converter block; Power Line Communication Transformers to enable transmission of data over the grid; Auxiliary Transformers in the Controller Block to feed the microcontroller devices. Current Transformers are present on the output for the energy monitoring.
